ASMBS Leadership Academy:
Elevating Our Specialty Fellows Course
The ASMBS Leadership Academy is a practice-readiness experience engineered to bridge the gap between clinical fellowship training and the business realities of independent surgical practice. Over two days on November 4–5, 2026, fellows and early-career metabolic and bariatric surgeons receive practical instruction on contract negotiation, financial literacy, coding, and hospital administration communication, alongside small-cohort hands-on surgical technology labs. Delivered in partnership with leading industry partners and ASMBS faculty, the program combines high-yield live sessions with pre- and post-course online microlearnings to ensure long-term career success.
This program is free for fellows inclusive of travel expenses.
